Stop Snoring. Sleep Better.

Edina: Get some sleep!

Almost everyone snores periodically, but some do it consistently. This can be a sign a sign of serious underlying health issues that can cause problems if not treated. At The Snoring Center’s Edina and Burnsville offices, we tackle problem snoring head-on by utilizing advanced minimally invasive, office-based treatments.

Our philosophy in treating snoring is rational and considerate. There are several conditions that can lead to snoring…and one solution does not fit all. Snoring occurs when the airway becomes restricted either due to a relaxation in the muscles of the back of the throat or a physiological abnormality that restricts the airway.

In severe cases, snoring becomes sleep apnea. This is a serious medical disease characterized by loud snoring and repeated spells of stopped breathing. These stoppages can occur for 10 seconds or more and may take place several times an hour. Not good. Sleep apnea has been linked to increased risks of high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke. It is also associated with diabetes and obesity.

Unfortunately, most insurance is slow to recognize the best treatments for sleep apnea and snoring. Many of the preferred minimally invasive treatments are not covered by medical insurance plans. However, patients can utilize pre-tax dollars in a Flex spending account to fund these affordable treatments.

The treatments we provide The Snoring Center include:

  • Pillar Procedure
  • Turbinate Coblation
  • Palate Coblation
  • RFA (Radiofrequency Ablation)
  • Laser Tonsillectomy
  • Oral Appliances
  • Home Sleep Study
  • Surgery
  • CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure)
